We delivered the full visual rollout for AY Star’s Stizzy mixtape, overseeing the creative direction across physical and digital formats.
The project included the cover artwork, full CD packaging (front, back, inner panels, and disc), motion graphics for Spotify Canvas and social media, and promotional banners for the release. The aim was to create a dark, immersive visual world that felt authentic to the artist while translating seamlessly across every platform the mixtape lived on.

The imagery feels intimate and unfiltered, avoiding anything staged or performative. Smoke was deliberately amplified and layered to become a defining visual element, adding depth and atmosphere while reinforcing the hazy, suspended feeling behind Stizzy.
A dark, restrained colour palette was used to maintain a moody tone, allowing highlights in the smoke, skin tones, and jewellery to subtly cut through. Typography was kept clean and confident, ensuring clarity across streaming platforms without overpowering the image. The artist name and title sit naturally within the composition, supporting recognition while preserving the raw aesthetic.
The visual system was extended into the physical CD packaging, with the back cover introducing a prole-led image that continues the narrative. Inner panels and disc artwork maintained tonal consistency, while layout and typography were carefully balanced to support clarity without disrupting the mood.
Motion elements brought the artwork to life across digital platforms, with subtle smoke animations created for Spotify Canvas and social media. These were supported by release banners and headers, ensuring a cohesive and immersive rollout across every touchpoint.
The result was a fully realised mixtape campaign that felt intentional, immersive, and distinctly tied to Ay Star’s identity.
From physical CDs to digital motion assets, the visuals maintained a strong and consistent presence across platforms, supporting the release with a clear aesthetic and a cohesive visual language that extended well beyond the cover itself.
